-Winter hardy to zones 7(possibly only 8)-12, especially if mulched during winter. If growing in colder zones, the tubers can simply be harvested in fall and stored somewhere protected from the cold, and then replanted in spring.
-A productive selection, the main photo is after one growing season in zone 6b.
-The tubers can be planted immediately for spring germination in areas where it can survive winter outdoors. Or they can be stored in dry peat moss or dry sand and stored in a breathable container in the fridge or a garage or barn where they will be protected from weather extremes until ready to be planted. It may be best to grow them in a pot first, and then transplant them outdoors.
-I was really impressed with how much biomass can be generated by this plant with no weeding and watering in one growing season. This is a vigorious and beautiful plant.
