5 Honey Locust 'Big Fatty' Scions ~10" Long (Gleditsia triacanthos var. inermis)
Big Fatty is a thornless and highly productive cultivar of Thornless Honey Locust. It was originally harvested and introduced from the old Hershey Nursery in Downington, PA. It is reported to be an annual bearing, unlike other cultivars.
The scions can vary from 9-12 inches long, they are predominantly 10 inches. Each scion is large enough for multiple grafts
This is a listing for 5 unrooted cuttings used for grafting. Store sealed in a fridge until ready to graft in spring.
When grafting honey locust I have good success with both bark and whip and tongue. Photos are from 2022 when one of my grafts had its first fruiting.
